A new friend recently told me that the prophetic is simply the word of the Lord.. past, present, or future.
We have got to gain a new understanding of how incredibly powerful the word of the Lord is, my friends. It brings forth freedom, healing, encouragement, and the impossible.
There was a specific word given to me a few days ago that resonated with my heart so intensely. It was prophesied over me that I am courageous. So in my time with Him today, He led me to rest in this word.
Courage: “not deterred by danger or pain, brave”
(fearless, valiant, bold, daring, dauntless, venturesome, audacious, daredevil)
Then the Lord started to bring up pictures in my mind of all the amazing women surrounded by me whom exhibit courage. I believe the Lord is up to something with this. He is raising up a women of courage. He is bringing about a generation of women who courageously say “yes” to the adventure the Lord has set before her, despite all pain, fear, and evil present.
I believe it is this very courageous, adventurous spirit that will allow our generation to discover parts of God that many won’t.
He spoke to my heart a couple of days ago about the greatness of His depths. He told me that there are parts of Him which man has yet to meet.
Yes, I believe there is such a depth to God, that there are parts of Him which no man or woman whom have ever walked this earth have yet found.
And guys, I really believe that God has an intense desire to be known. I believe this is partly why He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). I also believe this has something to do with why His eyes are scanning the whole earth right now to find the one whose heart is towards Him, to give her strength (1 Choronicles 16:9).
Did you know that it is actually a command to have courage?
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid: do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”. (Joshua 1:9)
Also take note of the very next verse.. “for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan to go in to take possession of the land that the Lord your God is giving you to possess”.
Ladies, it is through our obedience to the command to be courageous that we will walk in the promised land.
I do fully believe that we are a generation of women of great courage, and as we say “yes” to the adventure the Lord has for us, we will also go where no woman has yet gone. We will meet those very parts of Him that the world has yet to know. And this, I believe, will overcome the heart of God.
Prayer for today:
God thank you that you give me grace to be obedient to any command you place on my life. Thank you that you have given me a spirit of courage. In this world I encounter pain everyday, God. Thank you that your will for my life is to never be deterred by pain. Help me to embrace this pain and to take courage in you through it. God, thank you that you have created me to be a women who loves adventure. Thank you that relationship with you is the most exciting adventure I will ever go on. Holy Spirit, I choose to take courage and to lean into this relationship with you despite all pain, fear, and evil that is present. I choose to say yes to the plans you have for me even when danger and pain are before me. Thank you that you are raising up a generation of courageous women whom will walk in their promised land.. whom will walk where no woman has yet walked and whom will know you in a way no woman has ever yet known you. I cancel the assignment of the enemy from the lives of the amazing women you are raising up. Surround me with this type of women, that we may spur each other on. We have got to know you, God. We have got to have more of you, God. Use us in a radical way as we know you in a radical way. We love you and we praise you, Jesus. Amen.
Finish this week with great courage ladies!! Let us step forward into dark places, bringing the light of the Lord & taking back all that the enemy has stolen!
